Little Sapphires offer a grading system that is Nationally recognised and will give you a Pole Dancing passport that allows you to go any Approved school and be instantly recognised at the Level you have been Graded to. Please ask if you want to know more about our Internationally recognised grades and the Pole Dance Passport.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
Gym type gear, nothing too tight, nothing too loose.

CAN I COME ON MY OWN?
Lots of girls come alone xx the first step is always the biggest, we always look after each other all the way, everyone comes to pole for many different individual reasons and every one is unique xx

DO PEOPLE WATCH?
Nope, we do not encourage any spectators, even your self before you try it out, we do not offer you to watch a class we would prefer you join in as a free trial as its more fun than watching and fair for everyone x

COULD I WATCH A CLASS BEFORE I JOIN IN?
Ideally not, if you want to attend to see what its like thats cool, we do not encourage potential longterm students to watch, just jump right in and have some fun xx

IS IT DANGEROUS?
if not taught correctly, efficiently or with knowledgeable instructors it can be cause some safety concerns, physically it is demanding and as it is a metal pole after all we pride ourselves with your health & safety, thats why we as instructors are all very aware of the body and the strain pole dance can have upon you if not taught correctly it can cause longterm problems, leaving you only a short while in pole dance.

DOES IT HURT?
slowly wins the race, control, composure, body awareness all helps, we show you how to gain this xx

WILL I BRUISE?
Likely hood is a new bruise for every new move, pole kisses should never be big bruises, if they are, then theres something wrong!

ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
Yes, very much so!

WILL I GET FIT?
If you commit like any other fitness regime, you will notice body changes yes!!

ARE MEN ALLOWED IN?
All men are vetted with private lessons before entering a class situation and are dedicated pole followers before allowed into a class setting.

WHAT DO I WEAR ON MY FEET?
bare feet are good, heels maybe if we have  a party (we usually do!)

IVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE, DOES THAT MATTER?
We take beginners, thru to advanced level, you work at your pace, every lesson is unique to you and your fellow students.

IVE ALREADY BEEN POLING FOR YEARS CAN I JOIN A CLASS?
Every one is always very welcome no matter what your experience or competence, all we ask for is mutual respect and a sense that you are willing to take on board different ideas or variations of moves, names, executions and styles.  "There is no right or wrong way to pole dance, just the safe way" Sally Ann Giles 2009

I AM OVER WEIGHT, WILL IT BE A PROBLEM?
Weight, height size, etc is not an issue ever in pole if you are shown correct techniques and shown moves, holds, poses spins lifts etc in the correct order to allow the body to adapt to what is being asked! If you can work out in a gym, u can work out on pole!!

IS IT FITNESS ORIENTATED ONLY?
We allow you to be feminine in a way other sports may not, it is dance after all xx

I WANT TO DO  COMPETITIONS, HOW DO I DO THIS?
You will work thru levels to suit you, we will encourage and support you thru your vision and will endeavour to get you to the competition level you wish to be at.

CAN I HAVE PRIVATE LESSONS?
Of course, at a time & venue to suit you xx If you already take weekly classes you obviously get special deals, please just ask.

WHATS THE AVERAGE AGE?
average could be between 20-40yrs, but we have ladies in their 50s whom are regular attendees, and girls studying for their Duke Of Edinborough award still at school too xx

Join in the fun and get fit!!

What will it do for me...??

Pole dancing will improve your fitness by increasing your strength and power, stamina, balance, co-ordination, posture and flexibility. You can lose weight and get toned via pole dance techniques. It incorporates the whole body, not just legs and arms but your tummy, back, shoulders and bottom too.

We encourage a healthy lifestyle, other classes such as yoga for stretching and breathing techniques are recommended and any daily exercise regime will help with your pole work, as does any strength or fitness work including cardiovascular training, but by attending Pole fitness classes regularly you can build on the past weeks strengths, increase the intensity of the lessons and learn more routines, more techniques, build more confidence and quite importantly meet other like minded people and build friendships that could last for years!!
